Job Description:

Our client is a global Industrial Automation company and currently, there are looking for an Industry Segment Manager, Food & Packaging who is responsible for the sales activities under Food & Packaging (F&P) industry in Malaysia in order to achieve turnover, profit and cost targets, defined KPIs and objective of the these industries. There are 2 Sales Engineers reporting to this position directly.


Key Responsibilities


  • Plan, direct and monitor the activities of F&P sales team to achieve established sales targets
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of F&P sales team in order to implement the organization’s overall sales strategy according to strategic direction of the company.
  • Translate together with Country Manager the sales strategy by breaking down strategic objectives into initiatives and activities.
  • Ensure effectiveness implementation of define sales strategy into define region.
  • Develop local pricing strategy & policies by customer importance to ensure that the sales targets are met as defined
  • Continuously grow the presence of the company in the market of responsibility (market share)
  • Define, implement and monitor sales structures, sales channels and policies to assure the achievement of established objectives.
  • Responsible for customer relationship management to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction; visit top customers due to big quotations or complain.
  • Take care of acquisition and supervision of key customers/ accounts and negotiate special prices who are of strategic importance to the organization
  • Understand and evaluate market trends and competitor activity and implement the necessary measures for the target industry segments
  • Formulate innovative business plan and marketing activities, campaign that supports the business goal
  • Organize and conduct product or business seminars/presentations/training for targeted customers
  • Prepare sales forecasts, monitor sales volume, revenues and costs against forecasts to identify problem areas and adapt procedures or re-allocate resources to improve the overall performance of the sales team
  • Coach sales representative on the technical aspect of organization product and service; marketing campaign, sales technique, procedure, standard, selling skills and driving it towards target achievement.
  • Work together with Human Resources for staff recruitment, development staff and training plan, disciplinary issue, manpower planning and arrangement, and ensure processes and system are in place to retain talented staffs

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering oriented studies preferably mechatronics, electrical, electronic, mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Min 7 years of sales experience with Automation Engineering industry knowledge
  • Good interpersonal and people management skills
  • Experience in Business Development, Key Account Management
  • Min 2 years of people management experience
  • Aggressive and people oriented
  • Sensitive to market development
  • Possess few years of technical experience in the early years of career
