Business Development Manager, Process Automation - Malaysia (CEJB 17 238)

Job Description:

Our client is a global Industrial Automation company and currently, there are looking for a Business Development Manager (Process Automation) who is responsible for developing the sales of Process Automation (PA) products and services in the Malaysia market.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for proactively driving sales of Process Automation products in the sales teams in the whole of Malaysia, particularly in Factory Automation.
  • Ensure target accounts are monitored and activities take place to advance the sales cycle for PA in all industries.
  • Responsible for coaching of all sales functions to ensure they are motivated and driven to sell PA. Should ensure their knowledge, skills and attitude are all suitable for successful PA sales in Malaysia.
  • Responsible for ensuring potential for PA in all Strategic and Important accounts are regularly updated and represent realistic PA potential in Malaysia.
  • Responsible for monitoring the customer mapping process for PA in all industries, ensuring applications specific to the industry are driven in Malaysia.
  • To be a spokesperson for PA in the sales teams, presenting at large customer events where needed and large target customers in Malaysia.
  • Supports the sales in understanding how to identify potential for PA in customers in Malaysia.
  • Provides feedback to the marketing department on the needs of the sales team for marketing activities related to PA.
  • Foster positive relationships with Industry Sector teams across the countries, encouraging teamwork and optimising synergies across the industries.
  • Direct feedback to the BDM Team Leader for PA in Southeast Asia on needs of the sales teams for sales support tools, products, opportunities and challenges in the market.
  • Responsible for co-ordinating the forecasting of Process Automation products turnover for Malaysia.
  • Ensure campaign activities are aligned with the Process Automation strategy and generate results in-line or above target.
  • Ensuring all activities also support sales of the wider company product range – particularly the products and services from Regional Engineering Services.
  • Promote teamwork and motivate others encouraging a good team spirit.
  • Work closely with the BDM Team Leader for PA in Southeast Asia, to develop their own methodologies and coaching skills, taking advice and coaching to improve their own performance.

Job Requirements:

  • Technical University Degree (electrical, mechatronics engineering preferably; selective mechanical, chemical or industrial engineer)
  • 2 years’ experience in a successful sales role is mandatory
  • 3-4 years focus in process engineering products and industrial automation
  • Understanding of process industry is important. Other geographically relevant industry knowledge is an advantage
  • Whilst it is not essential to have managerial experience, the candidate must have coaching experience
  • MS-Office; knowledge of key industrial PLC programs is an advantage
