Job Description:

Our client, a global Medical Device company, is looking for a Regional Technical Service Engineer for their office in Singapore to cover the Asia Pacific region.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of company which may include hardware, software and networking products as well as operating systems.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance and repair services
  • Sales support from a technical background
  • Install and optimize hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites
  • Diagnose and resolve product performance problems
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance
  • Proactively respond to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business
  • Calibrate equipment on-site for large volume customers
  • Document all actions and results in a timely manner
  • Planning of corrective and preventive action visits for their customers.
  • Provide technical support to local/regional customers to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Report issues and customer feedbacks to his supervisor 
  • Review and maintain spare parts inventory
  • Responsible for costing and quotation preparation/elaboration for requested service activities
  • Responsible for purchasing and planning/coordinating all service activities including spare and repair parts handling for the corresponding service activities.
  • Responsible for the generation and implementation of written service and/or test procedures and risk assessments.
  • Assignments will involve travel to specified sites (both APAC and international) to perform service activities. Travel may take place on evenings or weekends as required to meet the customer’s need. Travel schedules will be arranged as directed by the line manager
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of Service Reports, Time Tracking, Site Visit Reports, Expense Reports and other business-related documents.
  • Responsible for training Customers’, Distributor engineers’ in the correct use and maintenance procedures, including the generation and use of Service Manuals.


Job Requirements:

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of defibrillation process equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum support when necessary.
  • Factory test work and/or site work experience.
  • Multi-discipline/task work experience.
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with customer. While performing service, the engineer must make sound technical decisions to meet customer requirements while maintaining company’s commercial interests.
  • Independently resolves adverse situations constructively.




  • 3-5 years qualification experience in a service or similar position within the Defibrillator market.
  • Technical apprenticeship in order to perform service on calibration, testing and customer service in the EMS industry.
  • Technical qualification to perform service on the respective equipment/system. Detailed knowledge of apertures, fittings, valves, measuring devices and electrical installation is a must.
  • 5 year experience on service process including inventory, traceability and administration
  • Regional/International experience
  • Degree with 3 years’ experience / Diploma with 5 year’ experience
  • Owned vehicle
