Job Description:


This Demand Planning position is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. Create, maintain the demand planning figures from information gather from Sales, Product Marketing as well as Business Units, facilitates the sales demand planning process within responsible geographical area and liaise with Demand Planner team HQ and Regional Hub in Singapore if needed. Responsible to coordinate Large Order inquiry from Local Country or Business Unit and liaise with the Large Order Team (LOT) HQ to get the reliable information and support. Responsible for Customer Planning to provide a reliable and aligned customer forecasting data.



  • Implement and execution of the sales demand planning process within responsible geographical area
  • Introduction and continuous education of planning process to other cross function stakeholders within responsible geographical area
  • Provide feedback to global demand planning team if any changes/update in process and tools is needed
  • Achieve an aligned/consensus sales demand planning figures with Cluster Sales, Business Units, Marketing through collaborative demand planning process
  • Organise and manage alignment meeting with local Supply Network Planner if any
  • Evaluate forecast results, conduct root cause analysis to reconcile significant variance with Cluster Sales and Marketing
  • Update any changes/revision to the planning figures into the APO system
  • Prepare and maintain reports relevant to the demand planning process
  • Trigger HQ LOT of SEA Management approved projects
  • Setup project in LOT Share Point and enter planning number into SAP
  • Responsible follow up LOT Project Meeting and make changes to planning number according to the meeting outcome
  • Organise and lead monthly Demand Planning Sign-off Meeting
  • Work with Customers, Cluster Sales, Marketing and Global Demand Planning Team to improve forecast accuracy
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities in the forecast
  • Provide input to the Supply Chain Management in developing inventory & safety stock strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  • Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans
  • Any other tasks assigned by immediate superior

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Logistic or Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of demand planning experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Application in MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical, organisational, problem solving, communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
  • Knowledge of SAP/APO or other software related to demand planning is preferred
  • Experienced in multi-cultural, cross-functional and cross-regional environment
  • Able to work independently with good time management and able to multi-task
